"the labels wanted us to change our name," Larson-Xu said. "They didn't like the Rock 'n' Roll Soldiers. So I told them, 'Um, we're not changing our name,' and I had to write a theme song for us, so we could keep [it]. That song's called 'Anthem,' and it's probably my favorite, because it goes, 'We're the motherfucking Rock 'n' Roll Soldiers' And that's it." Talk about keeping it real, they held to their guns and didn't change their name and eventually got signed. But when the mega corporation verizon came knocking on their door with a huge check they whored themselves out quicker than deuce bigalow. it's too bad because they had a couple of kick ass choons. lets hope they don't do a colabo with pharell or worse yet with puffy in the future. for now they remain on the cusp of credibility, hopefully they'll stay on the right side. their two eps cd is out now, I would say buy it but it but theres only 2 good songs on it. maybe their upcoming full length debut album will be better, until then this album gets a cleveland steamer and a strong cell.
